SalePilot is a Shopify app that schedules sales on your store and automatically reverts prices back to normal when the sale ends. This guide walks you through getting the app from the Shopify App Store and taking your first look at the Dashboard once it's installed.

How to install SalePilot from the Shopify App Store

  1. From your Shopify admin, search for SalePilot on the Shopify App Store and open its listing.
  2. Click the install button and approve the permissions SalePilot asks for. Once installed, SalePilot opens inside your Shopify admin as an embedded app — you won't need to log in anywhere separately.

What you'll see on the SalePilot Dashboard

The Dashboard is SalePilot's home screen — the heading at the top simply reads "SalePilot". Here is every element you'll find on it.

  1. "New sale event" link. This is the primary action on the page. Clicking it takes you straight to the Create sale event screen, where you set up a new scheduled sale (covered in the next SOP article).

  1. "Needs attention" banner (only shown if it applies to you). If any of your sale events need review, a critical banner appears reading: "{N} sale event(s) need review — check the revert report on {it/each} for details." If you don't see this banner, none of your sale events currently need review.

  1. "Overview" section. This shows a one-line summary: "{N} live, {N} scheduled, {N} total sale event(s)." Underneath it is a link, "View all sale events", which takes you to the full Sale Events list page.

  1. "How it works" panel (side panel). This explains SalePilot's core idea in plain terms: you schedule a sale, you can preview the price changes before they go live, and you can trust the automatic revert — prices go back to normal on their own, and SalePilot never overwrites any price you edit by hand mid-sale. This panel also states SalePilot's pricing:
    • Free plan: 1 applied sale event per month.
    • SalePilot Pro: 14-day free trial, then $9.99/month for unlimited applied sale events. A link, "View plans and pricing", is included in this panel for more detail.

Next step

Once you've looked over the Dashboard, the next SOP article, "Create your first sale event," walks you through setting up your first scheduled sale from start to finish.
